SunMaster reinvents the tanning lamp.  Again.

There are a lot of fancy claims by lamp manufacturers about their newest lamps, but in almost every circumstance, it is a matter of tweaking an existing lamp to slightly change the spectrum, or boost the UVB output by lowering the UVA output. ClearTech technology is completely different.

ClearTech lamps start with a completely new glass technology, developed by LTI, Ltd. of Hungary. This new glass is more transparent to UVA and UVB in particular. This means more UV gets OUT of the lamp to begin with. Next, we have developed a completely new blend of never before used phosphors for INSIDE the lamp. These only work when you combine them with our special patented glass, so you won't find them in any other lamp. Having more UV to work with allowed us to radically change the spectrum of the ultraviolet coming from the lamp. We have moved the UVB output into the higher frequencies where your skin is more likely to produce melanin, and moved the UVA frequencies to a considerably flatter curve in the 360nm-370nm range. Instead of a peak at one or two frequencies, you get a broad output over this entire region, where the actual bronzing occurs.

ClearTech tanning lamp spectrum

You will notice a difference the first time you install a set of ClearTech lamps in your salon equipment and turn the bed on. They are brighter than regular lamps, and the special blend of phosphors used inside create a green glow. Your clients will notice a significant difference the first time they tan on a ClearTech equipped bed, with instant color that no other lamps can offer. More importantly, they will see a deeper, darker tan within just a few tanning sessions, even clients who are difficult to tan.

ClearTech tanning lamps glow differently

Another major difference between ClearTech and other lamps is the lamp life. Depending on what kind of electronics your bed uses, you can expect 1400 to 1600 hours of peak UV output. This is about twice as long as typical lamps. This means you spend less time changing lamps, less money replacing your lamps, and your cost per session is much lower. While ClearTech lamps do cost more than generic lamps, they cost the salon owner less to operate, so they present a better value.

Compatability is a serious issue for salon owners in regulated states, and SunMaster tests and certifies that ClearTech lamps are compatible with as many lamps as possible. Users of Diamond Sun®, Velocity®, Bellarium S, Bellarium Plus, Goldarium S, Cosmolux ESP, Cosmolux VHR®, Genesis® and others can find a lamp in the ClearTech family that meets compatability requirements in all states. A letter of compatability is included in each box. You should call us or check out our online store for a complete list of compatables and print out a copy of the letter for yourself.

In the end, it is about quality, and the ClearTech family of lamps represent the highest quality construction, patented technology, the longest life of any tanning lamp, and guaranteed better results than your current OEM lamp. They cost a little more than a generic tanning lamp, but can cut your cost to operate by half, and reduce tanning sessions by 30% to 50%, and offer your clients something they can't get from a generic tanning lamp.

ClearTech lamps are available in 100W, 120W, 160W varieties in the most popular sizes at your local SunMaster distributor or from our online store. As always, your satisfaction is guaranteed. Call us at 1-800-274-1744 for more information or to upgrade your tanning bed today.
